Walking in

The Yorkshire Dales

 Penhill and Wensleydale

The Dales are a unique part of England, blessed with rolling hills, magnificent rivers and stunning waterfalls and is highly recommended to anyone that wishes to get away from the city and relax. Popularised by Alf Wight's (James Herriot) 'All Creatures Great and Small, the walking opportunities here are endless, and all with fantastic views !

Middleham is set in the heart of Wensleydale, an area of outstanding natural beauty within the Yorkshire Dales. It is also a stones throw away from Coverdale and Swaledale, all ideal places for the keen walker

Walks that are suitable for all levels of walker are available from beginners to hardened fell walkers, taking in areas of beauty such as the Shawl, notorious as the area that some say lead Queen Ann of Scots to her capture, Aysgarth Falls and Penn Hill
